The Welcome Wreck: Campus Recreation
Hello Yellow Jacket Families!
Welcome to another installment of our Welcome Wreck: Georgia Tech 101 Summer Series! In this video, Brian Smith, Senior Director of Campus Recreation, and Georgia Tech Campus Recreation staff members introduce the wide range of programs and services available to students through Campus Recreation.
Highlights from Campus Recreation:
Competitive Sports
Includes Intramural and Club Sports. Intramurals are weekly and unlimited with a pass. Club Sports meet 2–4 times weekly and compete on weekends. Students can meet all teams at Rec Fest during Week of Welcome!
Fitness
Students can access Group Exercise ($49 unlimited), Instructional Classes, Personal Training, Massage Therapy, and a 15,000 sq. ft. fitness floor. Early mornings = shorter wait times!
Outdoor Adventures
Students can join weekend trips across the Southeast, extended excursions nationwide, or team building at the Leadership Challenge Course. We provide the gear — they bring the spirit!
Aquatics
Students can swim in the 1996 Olympic pool, relax in the leisure pool with a slide and spa, or take scuba and swim lessons. Lifeguard certification courses are also available.
CRC Facilities
Encourage your student to explore our 300,000 sq. ft. of recreation space: 6 basketball courts, climbing wall, racquetball/squash courts, 2 pools, a dive well, and more. Want to check out more of our facility? Enjoy this video tour: CRC Drone Video
Student Employment
We hire 300+ students annually for flexible, fun roles starting at $12/hr. Great for building soft skills and gaining experience. We are hosting information sessions and open interviews this summer! If your student is interested in joining, they can register through this portal: Program Search - Georgia Tech CRC
Parents Welcome!
Visiting campus? Your student can sponsor you for just $15 to enjoy the facilities too.
