The Wellness Empowerment Center cultivates a thriving environment that enhances lifelong well-being among students who live, learn, and work in the Georgia Tech Community. The team creatively designs prevention and education efforts to promote, nurture, and enrich the Georgia Tech community of health, well-being, and caring. Services include health and well-being educational programs, events and workshops, nutrition counseling, sexual violence prevention, education, and response.
Health Education: Health Educators provide a variety of programs and outreach opportunities to bring customized wellness topics to student chapter meetings, classes, residence halls, and fraternity & sorority houses. Community Nutrition: Registered Dietitians develop a variety of programs, including cooking demos, grocery store tours, and outreach on topics such as eating on a budget, health myths and realities, intuitive eating, nutrition 101, body positivity, as well as provide one-on-one nutrition counseling to students on a variety of topics. VOICE: The Advocates provide support to victim-survivors of sexual violence as well as educate the campus community about ending sexual violence. Sexual violence is an umbrella term that includes sexual harassment, stalking, dating and domestic violence, and sexual assault and rape. VOICE Advocates offer 24/7 confidential support for all victims and survivors of any form of sexual violence.
