Whether your student is coming home for just the weekend or for all of winter break, you've got new territory to cover.
Parent and Family Programs is happy to partner with Dr. Andrea Brenner to bring you Home for the Holidays, a webinar designed to help you prepare for the ever-changing relationship dynamics of a family with a college student.
From her website:
"Home for the Holidays: Setting Expectations for Your New College Student’s Visit
Your college student has already made the transition to campus, and hopefully, they are adjusting to their home away from home. However excited you are about welcoming your student home during their school break, it’s important to acknowledge that parenting an “adult” who has lived away from home can pose some challenges. It might take some time, and patience will be necessary. Topics include: the challenges of “re-entry”; managing time with friends, family, schoolwork, and sleep; establishing household rules and responsibilities; and engaging in conversations with your newly independent offspring."
