The Saturday of Family Weekend usually is centered on Yellow Jacket football. We acknowledge that the football experience this year will be a bit different than in the past, and we will help you craft Saturday plans that best suit your family. The Yellow Jackets will face off against Notre Dame’s Fighting Irish at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, not at our home field at Bobby Dodd, so Georgia Tech Athletics has a few options on offer.
🏈 FOOTBALL AT MERCEDES-BENZ STADIUM
- Game tickets are now only for sale from Mercedes-Benz Stadium via Ticketmaster. Tailgate tickets are sold out.
- Students who have purchased a Yellow Jacket season ticket may use it to attend this game at no extra charge and they will be seated in the student section. Families wishing to sit together in the Family Weekend section (2,000 seats in the 300 level, across 4 sections) should purchase a ticket for their student.
- Update! Kickoff will be at 3:30 p.m. All of game day will be at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
- 11:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. Helluva Block Party (open to the public) Visit the MBS website to learn more.
- 12:30 - 3:30 p.m Tailgate (sold out)
- 2 p.m. gates open
- 3:30 p.m. Kickoff, when toe meets leather!

- Parking is not included with Tailgate or game tickets. Because of the high traffic volume on game day, Georgia Tech cannot provide a shuttle service to MBS. Suggested options are:
- Paid parking on campus. The lots listed here are on the west campus and would incur a maximum $15 fee. Pull a ticket upon entering the lot and pay when you exit (card only, no cash.) You can take a rideshare the rest of the way to MBS or walk the 1.5 miles.
- W23- Area 5 Parking Deck (GameDay Parking / Visitor Parking) 939 State St NW, Atlanta, GA 30318
- W22- Area 12 Danley Parking Deck (GameDay Parking / Visitor Parking) 926 Dalney St NW, Atlanta, GA 30318
- W02- Area 3 Student Center Parking Deck (Multiple Use / Visitor Parking) 355 Ferst Dr NW, Atlanta, GA 30313
- Paid parking at MBS. Visit the MBS parking map to find the locations.
- Rideshare service. All of the major rideshare services operate in the metro Atlanta area.
- Public transportation. Visit the MBS MARTA website to learn more.
- Paid parking on campus. The lots listed here are on the west campus and would incur a maximum $15 fee. Pull a ticket upon entering the lot and pay when you exit (card only, no cash.) You can take a rideshare the rest of the way to MBS or walk the 1.5 miles.
- Visit the MBS bag policy page for information on what you can bring into the stadium.

😎ALTERNATIVE ACTIVITIES
If you prefer to stay on campus, you can start the day with Yoga in the Yard (an outdoor class on beautiful Tech Green) that will feature music and meditation. Then you can head to Tech Rec in the John Lewis Student Center from 3:30 - 7:30 p.m. for bowling and billiards while you watch the game on the big screen.
🗺️FAMILY WEEKEND SCHEDULE
The Guidebook app will be your best resource for the most up-to-date information all weekend. Please download the app on your mobile device and check it frequently throughout the weekend. It will contain the specific locations for events and the most accurate/real-time information as we progress through each hour of the weekend. If there are any changes due to weather conditions or schedule, you'll know via the Guidebook app. You can also check out the flyer attached to the Schedule of Events post for an overview of the whole weekend.

Hi - do Tech students need to buy regular priced tickets to attend the tailgate event?
I am struggling to buy tickets and I have tried multiple times. It will not process. What do I need to do?
If we choose to stay on campus, do we have to reserve spots in the John Lewis Student center?
Your system does not work to buy game tickets. And if we try to register, all of the events pertaining to our son's school are sold out. Trying to understand the purpose of registering.

Hello. We are from out of state and have not gone to a game at Mercedes Benz. How will parking work? We purchased tickets for the game but not the tailgate.
This may be a stupid question but is the tailgate timed around the game so that we can attend both.
I was able to purchase tickets to the game, but i was not able to purchase the tailgate tickets. I tried 2 credit cards and a different browser. Thoughts?

Is the block party concert free ?
Will there be any shuttles/ Stinger buses to transport families to/from Mercedes Benz/Yellow Jacket Alley on Saturday?
