Applications for 2024-25 Housing Open Soon

We know many families are aware that spots in housing are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, so if your student wants to live in campus housing next year, they need to mark the dates below in their calendar and apply as soon as possible!

The 2024-25 housing application will open as follows:

  • January 30: open to rising second-year residents only
  • February 13: open to all current residents
  • February 20: open to all students

Students and families are invited to join our information session on Thursday, January 25 at 11 a.m. to learn more about the application process and ask questions directly to the Housing and Residence Life leadership team Don't forget we'll also host an Off-Campus Housing Fair in March to help students looking for housing off-campus.

What to Know About Winter in the Halls

When students return for spring semester, they're likely to notice colder temperatures all around campus. If your student is feeling a chill inside their room, remember that many of our buildings have heating and cooling systems that are less responsive to rapid fluctuations in weather. If their room's HVAC unit is malfunctioning, they should visit the maintenance website page and submit a maintenance request, but please remind them that heating a large communal building in winter can be more difficult and resource intensive.

What qualifications make a student a Second Year resident? Is it based on hours or how long they have been at GT?
