Grandparents and Friends Day 2024

Georgia Tech Parent and Family Programs is excited to host our 3rd annual Grandparents and Friends Day! Grandparents, family members, and friends of Georgia Tech students are invited to campus to spend a Saturday learning more about Georgia Tech history and traditions over lunch before cheering on the Yellow Jackets at a baseball game. Make some family memories that will last a lifetime!

The registration fee covers the costs of all activities including a Georgia Tech clear tote, keepsake name badge, specialized Tech commemorative coasters, spirited pom-pom shaker, Tech sticker for your car, baseball game ticket, lunch buffet, live music, historian presentation, parking in the GT Hotel & Conference Center parking deck, and transportation to and from the baseball game via shuttle bus.  

12:30 - 1:30 p.m. Check-in at Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center Grand Ballroom

  • After checking in, lunch will be served while the Georgia Tech Jazz ensemble plays. This will permit time to mingle with others. *Menu listed below*

1:30 - 2:30 p.m. Georgia Tech Alumni Association Living History Project Presentation / Glee Club Performance

2:30 - 3 p.m. Program Concludes / Break

3 - 3:30 p.m. Transportation to Mac Nease Baseball Park (shuttle rotations)

4 - 6:30 p.m. Georgia Tech Men’s Baseball vs Virginia Tech 

6 - 7 p.m. Transportation back to Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center (shuttle rotations)

Grandparents Day Menu: 

Caesar Salad with Herb Croutons and Parmesan Cheese Roma Tomatoes, Feta Cheese and Bermuda Onions drizzled with a Balsamic Vinaigrette

Herb Roasted NY Strip drizzled with Merlot Demi-Glaze and topped with Fried Onions

Seared Pacific Salmon with Cranberries and White Balsamic Beurre Blanc Glaze 

Buttered Green Beans

Oven Roasted Herbed Potatoes

Chef's Selection of Cakes, Pies, and Cobbler, or Bread Pudding

Entrees are served with Warm Rolls and Butter
